Overwintered 10-Frame Honey Bee Colony (Local Stock)

Our overwintered 10-frame honey bee colonies are built from strong, locally overwintered bees with predominantly Italian genetics. Queens are locally raised in Pierson, Michigan and have successfully overwintered with their colonies, demonstrating proven winter survivability and spring build-up in West Michigan conditions.

These full colonies are established, productive, and gentle to work, making them an excellent option for beekeepers looking for a turnkey hive ready for early-season honey production and pollination.

Each overwintered colony includes:

• One complete 10-frame deep hive body

• Drawn frames with an active brood nest

  • Brood in all stages

  • Adequate honey and pollen stores

• Overwintered, proven laying queen

• Strong, established worker population

Colonies are provided with complete used hive equipment, including:

• Telescoping top cover

• 10-Frame Langstroth hive body with drawn comb

• Reversible bottom board (solid)

• Painted wooden hive components

Pickup Window:
Overwintered colonies are available for pickup between May 1 and May 22, weather permitting and dependent on spring conditions.
