Our 2026 spring nucleus colonies are produced using a professional-grade production system designed to deliver strong, healthy, fast-expanding colonies ready to perform from day one.

Each nuc combines high-quality Italian queens from C.F. Koehnen & Sons with locally managed brood, nutrition, and conditioning, producing colonies that establish quickly, build comb aggressively, and perform reliably in West Michigan conditions.

$200 total - $100 Deposit for reservation and $100 due at pick-up.

What You Receive

Each 5-frame (Deep) nucleus colony includes:

  • 1 young, laying Italian queen (C.F. Koehnen & Sons)

  • 3 frames of brood (mixed, capped & emerging)

  • 1 frame of honey & pollen

  • 1 foundation frame

  • Heavy adult bee population

Delivered in Pro-Nuc transport boxes for safe handling and easy transfer.

  • $100 deposit required at time of reservation

  • $100 balance due at pickup

  • Total price per nuc: $200

  • The $100 shown on the website is a reservation deposit only

  • Deposits secure your nucs and production planning

  • Email updates will be sent throughout the spring with scheduling and preparation details

  • After April 1, deposits are non-refundable due to production commitments and biological scheduling

All sales are final due to the biological nature of honey bees.
